Today I’m back with another review! I’m going to show you some beautiful, unique eyeliners I bought on Black Friday. I saw them and I just had to have them. But are they as good as they looked online? Let’s test it!
So I bought the Essence Metal Art Lip & Eye Liner in the colours 01 Steel the show and 04 Pink glam. The liners are available in three other colours and they all have a metallic finish. This is what Essence says about their product: Strong metallic eyeliner styles – for especially cool eye art! And thanks to the fine brush applicator, lip contouring is super easy, too!
INGREDIENTS: AQUA (WATER), GLYCERIN, MICA, ACRYLATES/PALMETH-25 ACRYLATE COPOLYMER, BISABOLOL, TOCOPHEROL, ALLANTOIN, GALACTOARABINAN, TIN OXIDE, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE, PHENOXYETHANOL, SODIUM DEHYDROACETATE, POTASSIUM SORBATE, FARNESOL, CI 77499 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE)
Well, they definitely are right about the fine brush applicator. It’s a very thin, small brush that makes precision liner application easier. As you can see, both liners have a beautiful metallic finish. I like that it’s so different from your usual liners. The pink isn’t really pink, but more of a dark red/berry colour.
I don’t think this counts as ‘cool eye art’, but I thought it would be fun to give these liners a try. You can definitely create some fun looks with them and the red one is perfect for christmas! They give off a lot of colour and you only need to apply them once. I was a bit skeptic about this at first, because they’re strange colours, but the pigmentation is amazing. I’m in love!
I also wanted to try the lip liner part of it. However, just lining my lips with this shiny metallic colour seems so weird, and putting a lipstick over it doesn’t really make it better, so I applied it to my entire lip. It took me a while, with the tiny brush, but I did it! I don’t think it’s the best colour to wear on your lips, but I think you might be able to coorporate it into some cool looks. I’ll think I’ll just stick to the eyeliner part, though.
In the end, I’d totally buy these again. They’re not your usual kind of eyeliners, and it’s not something you easily grab to use in your casual, daily make-up. But, if you’re into some cool and different eye-makeup and you like experimenting with looks, these are perfect. They are cheap and pretty high quality for their price. Cool eye-art accessible to everyone, I would say. I highly recommend these!
