My Nightmare Before Christmas Tree!

I haven’t really posted any Christmas related articles yet. Yes, I’ve done the Advent Calendar review, but that isn’t REALLY Christmas. So I thought it would be fun to get a bit in the Christmas spirit and show you guys my tree. Usually my little tree is very boring, with white and green ornaments to fit my room. This year I decided to switch things up and decorate my tree in a way that fits me perfectly: Jack Skellington-style!

I have a simple, fake Christmas tree that’s about 60 cm (2 ft) high. My parents had two of these left, because my brother and I always got to decorate our own little tree when we were young. This one was just sitting in the attic, so I decided to take it with me to my own litte place. I have fairy lights that are battery operated, which fit just perfectly with the size of the tree.

Then onto what I did to create this beautiful Nightmare Before Christmas inspired tree. As I said, I usually put white ornaments in my tree, so I just took these and drew Jack’s face on all of them using a permanent marker. Instead of using hooks to hang them in the tree, I used black ribbon. I just thought that looked a lot cuter.

I still had a piece of black ribbon with white stripes lying around (when I get a present packed with a ribbon, I always keep it) so I used this as a garland in the tree. For the treetopper I used the Jack Skellington bowtie that I bought for halloween this year. My boyfriend went dressed as a simple version of Jack, which was really cute. And ofcourse really useful, because I now have this really cool bow as a treetopper.

To finish the tree I just put a shiny garland around the bottom, so you can’t see the ugly standard, and I put my Jack pluche underneath the tree. It’s a very simple looking tree, but I think it looks really adorable. If you’re a big fan of NBC, like me, this tree is just perfect! Let me know what you think about it in the comments. I’ll see you guys soon!
