What I would wear to Coachella if I would go

Today is the final day of the phenomenon called Coachella: the most popular festival for influencers. And the best thing about this festival is definitely all the fashion. Each year Instagram is filled with outfitpictures during these two weekends in April. And nothing is off limits. Everyone wears just whatever the frick they want. I have done my research over the past days to figure out what the trends are this year. I want to put this knowledge to good use, so I decided to try and create some outfits for myself that I might wear if I were to go to this big party, using things that are already in my wardrobe. Let’s see how I did!

The fashionstyles at Coachella jump all over the place: there’s things like boho, western, streetwear, and whatever in between. Combined with tons of glitter, sparkles, and a lot of naked. So I tried doing two outfits, that were a bit different in style. I don’t even know what styles you could consider them to be, and I think that’s what makes them definitely Coachella worthy. Let’s start with the first one.

I tried to make this outfit more on the stylish, ‘sexy’ side. I don’t know if it looks like that, but it is cute. I liked the idea of sticking to just one colour that pops out. It looks very stylish to me.

Body: Primark

Kimono: H&M

Bandana: Feestbazaar.nl

Sunglasses: AliExpress

For shoes I wanted something that I can walk a few hours in, since that is what you have to do at a festival. That’s why I chose my sturdy docs.

Skirt: Primark

Shoes: Dr. Martens

I added this belt to have a bit of a hint to the country style that is also present at Coachella. I would love to tell you where I got this belt, but I’ve had it for like 10 years and I really don’t remember where I got it.

For my makeup I did a nice brown look, and added some golden stars to add to the glitter aspect of the festival. A tutorial on this makeup look will be up very soon!

Then onto the second outfit. This was meant to lean more towards the colourful, glittery, holographic style. It is definitely colourful, you can’t deny that, but it’s still showing a bit of skin, so it is still a bit sexy in stead of childish.

Bralette: Action

Short: Primark

Jacket: thrifted

Belt: H&M

The entire idea of this blogpost was actually built around these cool socks. I was a bit stuck with blog ideas, and then I remembered that I had these socks. I thought they were perfect for Coachella, so that’s how I thought of this blog post. I just think they’re fun, because they make it look like your feet is one big fishtail and they make you feel like a pretty mermaid. It’s fun.

Socks: AliExpress

Shoes: Fabs

I love, love, love these crazy sunglasses. They add just that little bit of extra pink to the look, and they are just too adorable. Who wouldn’t want heartshaped glasses?

Sunglasses: AliExpress

Choker: AliExpress

Bodychain: Hunkemöller

Fake nose ring: AliExpress

I wanted the makeup to match my cool socks, so I went for a blue/purple/pink halo eyelook with a soft, pink, glittery lip. If you want a tutorial for this makeup look as well, please let me know, so I can do that! The nose ring is actually fake, because I’m trying to figure out if I actually want to get a nose ring. For now the fake one is perfectly fine for me, and I think it looks pretty cool. We’ll see if I ever get a real one.

And that’s it for today’s article already! I had a lot of fun coming up with these looks and executing them. If I ever were to go to Coachella, I think I’d wear similar outfits, but then I’d buy something new and cool. This article is just based on the things I already own, but I still think the outfits turned out pretty Coachella-worthy. I hope you had as much fun reading this article as I had creating it, and I’ll see you guys next time!
