Tutorial: All Brown Makeup Look

Today I’m back with another makeup tutorial! If you read the ‘What I would wear to Coachella if I would go’ post, then you have probably seen this look already. It consists of only brown shades, and that’s what I love about it. I really like brown, because it accentuates my eye colour very well. If you want to know how I created this all brown makeup look, keep on reading.

We’re just going to jump right into the first step. After applying my primer, I started with blending a light, warm brown colour into my crease. You can see in the picture which colour from the MUA Fire Vixen palette I used.

I then blended a darker brown colour, Boutique from the James Charles palette, into the outer corner. I also blended it a bit into the crease to darken it a bit.

The next step consists of even more darkening. I used a very dark brown shade in my outer corner. For this I used Benny from the James Charles palette.

Then the brightening starts. I began with adding a shiny, copper-like colour on the middle of the lid. I used Halloween from the James Charles palette for this. Then I worked a lighter, shiny colour (Face) towards the inner corner, and another lighter colour (Ringlight) in the inner corner of the lid. So now there’s a nice, shiny, brown-ish gradient.

Then the last thing eyeshadow-related is the lower lash line. I first blended the light brown colour from the MUA palette along the entire lash line, and then I blended Boutique in the outer corner so it blends with the upper lid.

And then onto the last step of the process. I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in the colour Bittersweet as eyeliner. I used a small brush for this, and it worked perfectly. I like using liquid lips as eyeliner, because they stay put all day and it gives you such fun colours to work with. I finished this look by applying my usual mascara.

And that’s the look all complete! I like such a brown look, because it leans to the full glam side, but it isn’t such a heavy look. It also accentuates my eye colour, which I enjoy. The rest of my face I kept very neutral and warm as well, wearing a warm, nude lip colour. For highlight I used the shade Face from the James Charles palette, to stay in the brown tones. Below this article you’ll find a list, as usual, with all the products I’m wearing in this picture, if you are interested in that.

If you have any post-requests or ideas, definitely let me know, and send me pictures on social media if you decide to recreate one of my looks. I’ll see you guys next time!
