By now, you might be sick of all my Essence summer collection reviews, but I’m not! However, to not annoy you too much, this will be the final summer collection review for now. Reviews of other products will come soon. Anyway, let’s actually get onto the products. Today I’m reviewing the new Essence Sprinkled Chrome Eyeshadows. These single shadows are the little sisters of the Melted Chrome shadows. Let’s find out if they’re just as good, or even better!
The packaging of the Chrome shadows hasn’t changed, they look exactly the same as the Melted Chrome shadows. And I really don’t mind, it’s very pretty packaging. It’s a great size to just take with you anywhere, and the flat shape makes the shadows easy to stack. It’s also nice that you can see which colour you’re grabbing right through the lid. It’s simple, but it’s really nice.
Where the Melted Chrome shadows have eight different shades, this new collection only has three. I don’t know if they are going to add more if the shadows are sold well, or if there’s always going to be three shades, but I can just imagine so many pretty colours for these. The shadows look absolutely beautiful inside their packaging. They look shiny, and they look like there’s even shinier specks pressed inside. I don’t know how to describe it, other than that they look ‘sprinkled’. The shades are named after planets, and this sprinkled look definitely give them planet vibes. I don’t know what it is, but it looks good.
The swatches look absolutely amazing! These shadows feel so creamy and they are so shiny. I’ve found it so hard to capture the amazing shine of these shadows on camera, but I hope you can see how beautiful it is. These eyeshadows would be so great as shimmer toppers on a glam look. The shine and glitter of 02 Mercury is just INSANE and I love adding it to a simple glam look to make it more extreme. I’m in love!
As I said, applying these shadows is just so easy. I just apply them with my fingers for the best result, otherwise a flat brush wetted with some setting spray would do fine. In the picture above I’m wearing matte shades from the Essence x Pac-Man eyeshadow palette, with 01 Venus on top. It looks so good! These shadows make it so easy to turn a simple look into a glam look.
In conclusion, I am absolutely in love with these shadows. From the three I think the pink shade 03 Mars gives the least shine and pigment, but I am just so in love with the other shades and the pink one still looks good. I can’t live without this shine! It’s insane. I just wish I was able to capture it better on camera. Oh well. I totally recommend trying these out, so you can see the shine for yourself. I want to thank you for reading and I’ll see you next time!
