The Daily Life of a Student | Photo Diary Week 30

I have been thinking and brainstorming for so long on ways to incorporate a bit more personality into my blog. I like to have a business and beauty aspect to it, but I also like it to be personal. It’s my own little place on the internet, after all. So, I’ve been trying to start a photo diary, but I noticed that I’m absolutely terrible at it. I keep forgetting to take pictures of daily things, since I’m not used to doing it. I kept pushing starting this series until I finally managed to take enough pictures, but that day just wouldn’t come. So, today I’m just going to start. I am going to do a weekly segment on Bottle of Happiness where I share (some) pictures of my week and I tell you what I’ve done that week. I don’t have pictures for each day, but I’ll learn to do that eventually. For now, let’s just get started on my week 30!

How a Hobby Can Sometimes Be Stressful

As most of you know, I have been working on this blog, my hobby, for a long time now. We’re actually nearing my 7th anniversary. However, over the span of those 7 years I have not consistantly blogged. I actually started fully blogging again last september. I’ve really been enjoying it and I’ve been working really hard on it and I’ve been having some realizations. If it were up to me, I’d do this the rest of my life and turn it into my full time job. However, right now that’s not an option, so I’m keeping it as my hobby. But that is kind of where the problem lies for me. It is a hobby, but since I want to turn it into a job, I’ve started treating it like a job more. This in turn made me more and more stressed. Let’s talk about that for a second, because I’m sure there’s more people with the same issues.

I’m Taking a Break From University and Here’s Why

I’ve talked about it a bit already in a recent YouTube video, but I thought it would be a good idea to discuss this topic in a decent article as well. As some of you know, I’m taking a little break from my studies, and there’s a reason behind that. A pretty good reason if you ask me. I wanted to talk about it, because sometimes study breaks are a bit of a taboo. It’s expected that you just go to college and get your degree. But what if there’s something stopping you? I thought I’d discuss this topic a bit, to help people out who are also thinking about taking a break. Let’s get into it.

7 Tips for Living on Your Own

I’ve been living on my own for the past two-and-a-half years, and it’s been quite an adventure. I moved out at 17 into a student flat so I could live closer to my university. Overall it’s been a great experience, but I had a lot to learn to make living on my own an actual fun and great thing. So for today I compiled a list of tips to help you if you’re moving out and living on your own for the first time. These tips are mostly for students, but they can be applied to anyone who struggles with moving out. Let’s get into it!

7 Apps That Help You Live an Organized and Healthy Life

I’ve always struggled a bit with keeping my life on track and getting everything done that I have to. I’m a terrible procrastinator, or a good one actually, if you look at it like that. That’s why I’ve been working on my planning and my lifestyle ever since I moved out of my parents’ house. It has always been a bit of a struggle, and sometimes it still is, but right now I feel like I have control over my life. My life feels like it’s in order and I feel like I can keep it that way from now on. The best way to do that, for me, is to make use of apps and sites to keep track of everything. Today I’ll give you the seven apps I love the most that help me live a healthy and organized life. So, if you struggle a bit with getting your life on track, these apps could be great for you. Let’s get into it!

Video: Quarantine Chat and Makeup Time!

Since everyone is currently self-isolating as much as possible (or at least, I sure do hope you are!), I wanted to sit down and chat a bit about how I’m dealing with this quarantine situation and what I’m doing in my spare time. I’m just chatting and doing my makeup and I hope it will help you pass the lots of alone-time a bit! Excuse the lesser quality of the video, I explain everything about that in the video itself. Also sorry for my voice, I’ve been fighting of a cold and my voice sounds a bit worn down. But besides all that, I hope you enjoy!

I want to thank you for watching, and I’ll see you next time!

The Craziest Thing I’ve Ever Done as an Introvert: Filming with Essence Cosmetics

When I’m writing this it’s a day after my first video with Essence Cosmetics went online on their YouTube channel. I’ve thought about writing about this experience, but I wasn’t sure if it would be interesting, what I would tell you exactly and if it was even allowed to be talked about. So I decided on just not writing about that, until now. Since the video went live I’ve almost continuously thought about it and the reactions. I’ve watched the video about five times now and my mind has just been racing. And since this is my personal blog where I also write about my personal thoughts, I decided to use it that way again and rant a bit about this. Because I do have a lot of thoughts.

2020 Vision: My Hopes and Plans for the New Year

Excuse my absence the past week. Since the start of the new year I’ve been trying to get my life in line again. Organizing and planning has never really been my strong point, so that’s what I’ve been working on the past days. Also, I have finals coming up so that has been on my mind more than the blog of course. So if you find yourself wondering where I am, I’m probably just spending my time studying. Oh well, now that’s out of the way, let’s get onto my plans for 2020. I always love setting goals and making resolutions, just to get my life straight a bit. Or at least feel like I’m getting my life straight. Let’s get into it!

What I Learned and Accomplished This Year

It’s nearing the end of the year again, so it’s time for me to reflect on the year. Last year I reflected on a hectic year with lots of ups and downs. This year was a bit more on one line, a bit more regular, thankfully. Of course there were some ups and downs, but not major events, which was definitely good for my mental health. Well, let’s not blabber on for too long, let’s get into reflecting.
