Review: Essence Wanna Bee My Honey Trend Edition

When Essence announced they were going to release a collection inspired by bees and honey, I was on the one hand very excited, but on the other very skeptical. I was afraid they were going to release a collection made with honey, which would actually be a lot worse for the bees. Thankfully they didn’t do that, but they actually released a very fun, all vegan, make-up collection. I love what this trend edition represents and I’m the biggest fan of bees and the colour yellow. So I just had to get myself some of the products, and I will be reviewing them today. Let’s get into the Essence Wanna Bee My Honey trend edition!

Review: Kruidvat Velvet Glow Baked Blush

Recently I’ve really been loving adding blush to my make-up routine. I used to always hate blush and I never wore it, mainly because I didn’t know how to use it properly and I didn’t have any good blushes. So, I decided to buy a blush palette to try out, and I was hooked immediately. Now I wear it almost everyday. So of course, now I needed some extra blushes to expand my collection. When I saw these blushes at Kruidvat just laying there, looking pretty, being vegan, I just grabbed one and paid for it. I didn’t even really think about it, I just quickly decided I needed it. Talk about an impulse buy, right? So today, we’re reviewing this Velvet Glow Baked Blush by Kruidvat. Let’s get into it!

Catrice and Essence Nailpolish Haul and Reviews

A few months ago I sorted out all of my makeup and clothes, but now in this quarantine I also thought it was time to go through all my nailpolish. As you may know, this blog once used to be called Nails and Cakes, because of all the nailart I would do. And because I wanted to do so much nailart, I accumulated a grand collection of nailpolishes. I think I had around 150 different bottles of nailpolish, and all were pretty old, so it was definitely time for a cleaning. I threw out about 85% of all my polishes, and was left with a few nice colours that I could wear regularly. Sadly, I also had to throw out a lot of pretty colours that were just all dried up and out of date. That’s why I decided I needed to add a few new colours to my collection. So when I ordered makeup at Kosmetik4less last week, I also ordered six pretty polishes from Essence and Catrice that really fit my current style. Today I’ll show you all of them, with swatches and short reviews included. Let’s get into it!

Review: FAB Factory Sun Vibes Nude Palette – A HudaBeauty Dupe?

When I saw the FAB Factory Sun Vibes Nude palette on the Action website, it immediately made me think of the HudaBeauty Nude palette. I ran to the Action the next day to get it, because I needed to try it out. Because if this is actually close to the HudaBeauty palette, this palette could be a great dupe. It’s very cheap, has nice colours, and it gives the same vibes as the HudaBeauty palette. But is it actually a dupe? And is it even a good palette on its own? Let’s find out!

Review: Essence High Beauty Trend Edition

Last week Essence announced their new trend edition: High Beauty. The entire collection is vegan and is infused with hemp seed oil, which has moisturizing properties. The idea of using hemp seed oil in makeup products really intrigued me and it was such a fun idea to me to release such a collection on 4/20, so I felt like I just had to get it. I couldn’t wait until it is available in the Netherlands (around June), so I just ordered the products that I was most interested in from Kosmetik4less. I went for the Face Mask, the Under Eye Brightening Concealer, and the Fixing Compact Powder. I got everything yesterday and I tested it immediately, so I can tell you all about it today and you can still get the products before they’re sold out, if you want. Or when they are first released in stores in your country. Let’s see if these products are worth the excitement!

Review: Hexagon Foto Collage van Canvas Company

This article is for my Dutch readers

Let’s go!

Review: Essence Choose Your Glow Highlighter Palette

I know, I know, I said I was gonna stop with the Essence reviews. Well, I just have to excuse myself this one last time, since I got this beauty of a product and I just have to tell you about it! I got to use this while shooting for the Essence videos, and since using it back then I was just waiting for the new collection to be in store so I could go cop this palette. So the first day the collection was in stores in the Netherlands, I ran to the Kruidvat and got myself the Choose Your Glow palette. And since I’m so excited about it, I just have to tell everybody about this beauty. So let’s get into it!

Review: Essence AIR Eyeshadow Palette

As you may have seen recently, I got the amazing opportunity to collab with one of my favourite brands: essence. We created some videos together, and on the shoot day they gifted me some of the products that I got to play with. One product that I really wanted to try was the Air Eyeshadow Palette, so they were so kind to gift me that one too. When scrolling the webside I was immediately drawn to this specific palette, because of the lovely pastel colours. It really spoke to me, while the other element palettes didn’t really. And funny thing: I’m a Libra, which is an air sign, so in my head that’s definitely the reason I felt so connected to this palette. And all the more reason to write an in depth review on it. Let’s get into it!
