What’s Wrong With Brands Labeling Themselves Cruelty-Free

In my journey towards a completely cruelty-free cosmetics collection I’ve ran into this problem so many times: a brand calling itself cruelty-free, while not actually being cruelty-free. It’s a bit of a struggle to find out which brands you actually want to support and which ones you don’t. But why is this such a problem and how do I work around it? I’ll tell you all about it in today’s post!

The Best Low-Budget VEGAN Beauty Products!

Recently I’ve started expanding my vegan beauty collection. My collection is already completely cruelty free, but I think having vegan products is also important. Because why should an innocent being have to suffer for us to look pretty? It’s perfectly possible to look and feel pretty without using animals. So that’s why I wanted to make a post dedicated to my favourite vegan beauty products, which are also very affordable, to show you how easy it is to create a vegan beauty collection. And that vegan products are definitely not any less good than other products. Let’s get into it!

How to Do Gradient Lip Arts

I’ve really been into trying new makeup things lately and getting out my comfort zone. I don’t really have a comfort zone eyeshadow-wise, because I’m not afraid to try anything. However, I almost never wear any lipproducts. And if I’m wearing any, it’s just a nude or rose lipstick. I just don’t really like lip products and how they feel. So, I decided I needed to try more with my lips. And what better way to start than going the extreme: lip arts. I’m a big fan of lip arts! They look extremely cool in pictures, but they also take a lot of skill. So, I did want to start with one of the simpler lip arts. I tried multiple gradients lips and I found what worked best, so today I’m sharing the tips that I worked out to anyone that also wants to start with lip art! Let’s get into the gradients!

Tutorial: Spring Inspired Floral Eyelook

Lately I’ve been in such a good mood because of the nice weather, and I really felt like portraying that in a makeup look. So I made a look with my favourite colour: yellow. I wanted it to be a happy and adorable looking “piece of art”. So I grabbed my makeup and my face paints and I started drawing flowers on my eyes. Want to see how I did that? How to Use Glitter in Your Makeup Looks and Other Beauty Tips

I recently bought some new glitters and rhinestones and I felt like playing with them. So I came up with a few different ways to use those glitters and some tips on using them, so you can learn how to use glitters as well. Because why wouldn’t you want to use glitters? Besides the fact that they get literally everywhere, of course. Anyhow, let’s see how we can use glitters and rhinestones in different ways!

Review: Essence High Beauty Trend Edition

Last week Essence announced their new trend edition: High Beauty. The entire collection is vegan and is infused with hemp seed oil, which has moisturizing properties. The idea of using hemp seed oil in makeup products really intrigued me and it was such a fun idea to me to release such a collection on 4/20, so I felt like I just had to get it. I couldn’t wait until it is available in the Netherlands (around June), so I just ordered the products that I was most interested in from Kosmetik4less. I went for the Face Mask, the Under Eye Brightening Concealer, and the Fixing Compact Powder. I got everything yesterday and I tested it immediately, so I can tell you all about it today and you can still get the products before they’re sold out, if you want. Or when they are first released in stores in your country. Let’s see if these products are worth the excitement!

I Changed My Entire Skincare Routine and This Is What Happened…

About two months ago I was strolling around HEMA looking through their new skincare lines, and I decided it was time to change up my skincare routine. I’ve been using only two or three products for the past year and before that I didn’t really do any skincare. I’m not really sure how my face survived all that makeup without a little bit of love, but somehow it did. However, I decided it was time for a change. I browsed the HEMA in search of the best products for (what I assume is) my skintype. I also added some things over time. Now I’ve been testing this new regime for about two months, a pretty decent trial period, I decided it was time to tell you about my skin journey. I’m first going to take you through my morning skin routine and then my nighttime skin routine. Afterwards I will show you the two-month result. Let’s get into it!

Eyeliner Hacks: Fun Things to Try with Coloured Eyeliner

I recently got myself a new coloured eyeliner and it got me thinking. A simple coloured eyeliner wing is very cute, of course, but there must be other things to do with it, right? I like doing weird things with makeup, even if I’m not even going anywhere. I just like playing with different colours and textures, and sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn’t. This time I decided to play with all the different coloured eyeliners I own and I found some fun, different ways to use them. So today I’m showing you all the ways I was able to use them, in the hopes that it may inspire you to play with your makeup more, or use these techniques. Let’s go!
