When Essence announced they were going to release a collection inspired by bees and honey, I was on the one hand very excited, but on the other very skeptical. I was afraid they were going to release a collection made with honey, which would actually be a lot worse for the bees. Thankfully they didn’t do that, but they actually released a very fun, all vegan, make-up collection. I love what this trend edition represents and I’m the biggest fan of bees and the colour yellow. So I just had to get myself some of the products, and I will be reviewing them today. Let’s get into the Essence Wanna Bee My Honey trend edition!Continue reading “Review: Essence Wanna Bee My Honey Trend Edition”
A few months ago I sorted out all of my makeup and clothes, but now in this quarantine I also thought it was time to go through all my nailpolish. As you may know, this blog once used to be called Nails and Cakes, because of all the nailart I would do. And because I wanted to do so much nailart, I accumulated a grand collection of nailpolishes. I think I had around 150 different bottles of nailpolish, and all were pretty old, so it was definitely time for a cleaning. I threw out about 85% of all my polishes, and was left with a few nice colours that I could wear regularly. Sadly, I also had to throw out a lot of pretty colours that were just all dried up and out of date. That’s why I decided I needed to add a few new colours to my collection. So when I ordered makeup at Kosmetik4less last week, I also ordered six pretty polishes from Essence and Catrice that really fit my current style. Today I’ll show you all of them, with swatches and short reviews included. Let’s get into it!Continue reading “Catrice and Essence Nailpolish Haul and Reviews”
Hi everyone! I have another fun video for you today, where I show you one of my favourite budget makeup brands. I try out some of their newer products and show you some of my favourites. Hope you enjoy!
I want to thank you for watching, and I’ll see you next time!
Last week Essence announced their new trend edition: High Beauty. The entire collection is vegan and is infused with hemp seed oil, which has moisturizing properties. The idea of using hemp seed oil in makeup products really intrigued me and it was such a fun idea to me to release such a collection on 4/20, so I felt like I just had to get it. I couldn’t wait until it is available in the Netherlands (around June), so I just ordered the products that I was most interested in from Kosmetik4less. I went for the Face Mask, the Under Eye Brightening Concealer, and the Fixing Compact Powder. I got everything yesterday and I tested it immediately, so I can tell you all about it today and you can still get the products before they’re sold out, if you want. Or when they are first released in stores in your country. Let’s see if these products are worth the excitement!Continue reading “Review: Essence High Beauty Trend Edition”
I know, I know, I said I was gonna stop with the Essence reviews. Well, I just have to excuse myself this one last time, since I got this beauty of a product and I just have to tell you about it! I got to use this while shooting for the Essence videos, and since using it back then I was just waiting for the new collection to be in store so I could go cop this palette. So the first day the collection was in stores in the Netherlands, I ran to the Kruidvat and got myself the Choose Your Glow palette. And since I’m so excited about it, I just have to tell everybody about this beauty. So let’s get into it!Continue reading “Review: Essence Choose Your Glow Highlighter Palette”
As you may have seen recently, I got the amazing opportunity to collab with one of my favourite brands: essence. We created some videos together, and on the shoot day they gifted me some of the products that I got to play with. One product that I really wanted to try was the Air Eyeshadow Palette, so they were so kind to gift me that one too. When scrolling the webside I was immediately drawn to this specific palette, because of the lovely pastel colours. It really spoke to me, while the other element palettes didn’t really. And funny thing: I’m a Libra, which is an air sign, so in my head that’s definitely the reason I felt so connected to this palette. And all the more reason to write an in depth review on it. Let’s get into it!Continue reading “Review: Essence AIR Eyeshadow Palette”
When I’m writing this it’s a day after my first video with Essence Cosmetics went online on their YouTube channel. I’ve thought about writing about this experience, but I wasn’t sure if it would be interesting, what I would tell you exactly and if it was even allowed to be talked about. So I decided on just not writing about that, until now. Since the video went live I’ve almost continuously thought about it and the reactions. I’ve watched the video about five times now and my mind has just been racing. And since this is my personal blog where I also write about my personal thoughts, I decided to use it that way again and rant a bit about this. Because I do have a lot of thoughts.Continue reading “The Craziest Thing I’ve Ever Done as an Introvert: Filming with Essence Cosmetics”
By now, you might be sick of all my Essence summer collection reviews, but I’m not! However, to not annoy you too much, this will be the final summer collection review for now. Reviews of other products will come soon. Anyway, let’s actually get onto the products. Today I’m reviewing the new Essence Sprinkled Chrome Eyeshadows. These single shadows are the little sisters of the Melted Chrome shadows. Let’s find out if they’re just as good, or even better!Continue reading “Review: Essence Sprinkled Chrome Eyeshadows”
Since Essence has just launched their new spring/summer 2020 products, I thought it would be fun to talk about a few of these products again. Today I’m discussing the Stay 8H Matte Liquid Lipsticks. I got these in two shades and I’ve tested them rigorously these past days, so I thought I’d tell you all about it. Let’s get into it!Continue reading “Review: Essence Stay 8H Matte Liquid Lipsticks”
Recently Essence has released a statement showing all their new products for spring 2020, and just like everyone else I was very excited! Now they have actually released four of these new products on their website, of which one is the 24Ever Ink Liner. I got to try out this liner early, so I thought I would give you all the ins and outs about it, since this liner will soon be released in stores as well. You might want to know if this is something you want to get before you see it in stores, so let’s get into it!Continue reading “Review: Essence 24Ever Ink Liner”
